The new Logos subscriptions have launched

Watch the launch event live at 6am PST.
Today, the new Logos subscription has officially launched, replacing Logos 10 as the most powerful and easy-to-use version of Logos ever – not just for pastors and academics, but for lay leaders, too. So, what makes this version of Logos our best yet?
Logos is easier to use than ever
We worked hard to make Logos 10 easier to use, but lots of you on the forums told us you wanted us to go even further, which would make it easier for you to recommend Logos to others.
A new Get Started Wizard gets you straight into your study, no matter what you want to accomplish, by creating a custom layout based on what you want to accomplish (desktop and web).
The Help Center gives you all the support you need right within the app by bringing together our help manuals, dataset documentation, support pages, tutorial videos and more into a single easy-to-access tool (all platforms).
The Insights Sidebar gives you instant access to your favorite commentaries, study Bibles, and cross-references right inside your Bible, so you can quickly look up information without running a Guide or creating a custom layout (all platforms).
And the new dynamic toolbar makes it easy to find and access Logos’ powerful functions. If you’ve ever hunted around trying to add a parallel Bible, toggle Factbook Tags off, or change the text size, the new toolbar is for you (desktop and web).
Logos uses AI to give quicker access to deeper insights
In Logos 10, we simplified our search syntax – now we’ve completely removed the need for syntax with most queries. With the new Smart Search, you can type short queries using natural English, such as How did Paul die? or What does “sarx” mean in Romans?. Smart Search uses AI to better understand your query and lift the most relevant answers to the top (all platforms).
Even more powerful is Smart Synopsis. Smart Synopsis uses cutting-edge AI to distill the top five search results into a short, easy-to-digest paragraph. Best of all, every sentence has a footnote to show you which page of which book the AI pulled the information from – so there’s no need to blindly trust the AI has got it right (all platforms).
A Summarize tool gives you a summary of any article in any book, helping you digest more information in less time or more quickly determine whether a book is worth reading closely. You can also summarize search results without even opening the book (all platforms).
Logos speeds up the process of creating sermons and Bible studies
Logos now comes with the brand new Bible Study Builder, an easy-to-use but powerful tool that helps you create personalized Bible studies using books in your library. Using Bible Study Builder, you can easily find questions from throughout your library on any passage from the Bible, insert those questions into your study, rearrange them, and then edit them so they’re just right for your small group.
Sermon Builder also got its biggest-ever upgrade with the brand-new Sermon Assistant. Sermon Assistant is an AI-powered tool that can help your messages have even more impact. Sermon Assistant suggests possible outlines, illustrations, applications, or questions to adapt and use in your message. Sermon Assistant isn’t designed to write your sermons for you (no one wants a robot in the pulpit), but it will help you get through writer’s block by providing suggestions and ideas when you get stuck.
Logos has a much-improved Factbook
Factbook has a significant upgrade and a lovely new look. It can now help mine the depths of any biblical passage, interactively showing the people, places, things, and events mentioned and even what different characters said to one another. The new lens bar also lets you look at a topic from different perspectives—whether that’s a biblical perspective or a theological one.
Logos subscriptions get better all the time
Perhaps the best feature of the new version of Logos is that it gets better all the time. There’s no more waiting for two years to get improvements. Instead, every few months, we’ll add new or improved features to ensure Logos continues to equip you to study God’s Word.
That’s because the new version of Logos is available exclusively as a subscription. There are three subscription tiers:
- Logos Premium for small group leaders or anyone interested in deep Bible study.
- Logos Pro for pastors and ministry leaders who preach regularly.
- Logos Max for academic-level research and sermon prep.
Each tier comes with a starter collection of books and all the features you need for that purpose. If you already own Logos 10, prices start from just $6.99/month for Logos Premium or less than $135 for two years upfront.
All new libraries, exclusively for subscribers
But of course, Logos isn’t just about features; it’s about that compelling combination of fantastic features and brilliant books. The new features make it easier than ever to find and understand great content, so there’s never been a better time to expand your library.
We have twenty-two brand-new libraries for you to choose from, each providing you with the best modern and ancient wisdom on the bible and theology. As well as our standard track libraries, there are also three brand new tracks of libraries aimed at lay leaders, preachers, and students/academics. Libraries are yours to keep forever, and prices start from just $39.99.
During this special launch period, you can get 25% off your first purchase of any new libraries, and subscribers also qualify for a 5% discount on any books you buy, for a total discount of 30% off your first purchase.

Thank you Mark for the update.
Blessings in Christ.

Mark, when are you going to include your Collections into the default in Logos seach feature? It'd be very nice if you could continue your project and polish it. Thanks!

Looking forward to digesting all the new stuff and seeing what new resources are available.

What I want to know is if there will ever be a time when Logos Swag will be purchasable.

FWIW, in a future update I would love to see the follow option come to the desktop. Very useful in mobile.
Great work Mark and the rest!

This is great. As someone who is more interested in the Verbum Launch, I have a couple of questions:
1. If I subscribe to Logos Pro annual now, and then I decide to switch to Verbum Pro annual, will I be able to convert it at no cost, or are they separate purchases?
2. If I use the 30% off coupon for a library now, will I lose the option to use the coupon that will exist at Verbum Launch? I'm thinking I will delay all library purchases until Verbum launch in order to use the 30% coupon for my whole cart.

I am currently subscribe to Logos Pro monthly but would like to upgrade to the 2 year subscription plan. The 2 year option was advertised on today's video and in the first post but I can't find the option to go on the 2 year plan. I only see the monthly and annual (1 year) plans. Is there a way to do this? By doing this it should automatically put me with the legacy fallback license.

I'm not a Subscriber, but I see the option for two years. There is a check box next to Annual. It was checked by default for me.

Right next to the annual is a box to check that says add extra year.

I don't think the 2 year option is visible to current subscribers... I emailed a sales rep to check. I'm hoping its an option?

The difference between the two is Gao is not a current subscriber. I don't think there is a mechanism for current subscribers yet...

This whole thing is messed up:
Logos Pro - AnnualOrder Total: $145.79I paid for Pro more then I should pay for Max + I don't have the box for 2 year option

Hi Wild Eagle,
You should give CS a call because you're in a special situation as an early access subscriber.
Regarding the 2 year paid-up front option, we are working on solution to allow early access customers to add the second year. It isn't available yet, but we will let you know when it is.0 -
Thank you. I'm sure Logos customer service is swamped today. There are always things to address with a new launch, but I'm confident you'll work out the 2-year subscription issue for those of us who are Early Access subscribers. Patience and grace... :-)

Same here for me. I am an early subscriber but want to add the 2 year option as soon as available. Thanks.

Thanks for the info Taylor! As a Early Access subscriber, I was looking for the 2 year option as well. Also I noticed the Logos Partners are offering an addition month free for the trial (two months free before paying for the subscription). It might be a nice idea to give the Early Access subscribers an additional free month if they sign up for 2 years [:D]

I'm comparing the tiers. Does anyone have a quick summary about?
- Auto Translation Subscription (I think it requires Max)
- Composite Gospel Dataset (I think it's in all, I have an active Premium, so I may look for this)
- Semantic Roles for OTGRKSWETETXT-DA clauses (I think it requires Pro or Max)

Mark,
Is it possible we could download a spreadsheet listing the contents of the new libraries???
Much easier to compare and decide that way.
Thanks.

Jack from Logos CS assured me a few days ago, that it would not make a difference--we can switch from existing subscription to 2 years or subscribe to 2 years from scratch. For better or worse, I let my trial subscription lapse, which is why I see the option in the screenshot above.
I suggest you wait a few days for the dust to settle, or call CS. I am pretty sure Logos won't let you down.0 -
Nathan,
The only question I can answer to is the auto-translate (AT).
It was stated somewhere amidst the ton s of postings that IF you have AT as part of a L10 full feature set, you will keep access to that regardless wither or not you subscribe. Even before the subscription thing started you had a certain number of translation credits you could use monthly. When some of the other AI features started rolling out and they put AT credits into the AI credit pool we were told that even if we canceled our subscription we would still have access to AT and still have an AT credit pool to use.
Basically any internet/cloud based L10 features continue IF you paid for them in a feature set.

Since I already own all of the Logos 10 features, is there a way to hide what I own and only see what new features I'd get for each subscription level?

Francis,
If you click on the link in the post above and then open the various sections you should get a "new to you" tag in blue for the additional features.
this should work, but I am already subscribed, so it may not. Give it a try.

It listed them but didn't explain what they were (although my internet has been funky, so maybe it's on my end). I did some digging, and here's what I found out:
- Roy is correct on Auto Translation. It is showing "New For You" even though I have L10 because it looks like you get extra AT credits bundled into the AI subscription.
- I found the Composite Gospel: https://ref.ly/logosres/cgprlllpssgs?art=title
- Semantic Roles for OTGRKSWETETXT-DA looks to be some extra tagging for the LXX

It would also be handy if once a month, Logos would auto-run "Remove Unlicensed Resources" to purge any rotating books that are part of the subscriptions that we don't have access to. That way we don't have to manually run it, or clutter up our drives with books we don't have licenses for.

+1 for the 2 year option as well. I too will wait patiently for the launch hubbub to..... dissipate.

A couple of quick questions:
- Do we get to keep the extra free book a month if we cancel our subscription?
- Does the additional 5% discount apply to those with an academic discount?
Thanks.

Fantastic so far. Thanks and God bless.
I subscribed to Logos and I'm seeing questions about a Verbum subscription. Since I didn't see that option (and I would probably use that instead of Logos), does it exist? If a Verbum subscription comes around won't they be the same?
Again, it's looking great. Congratulations on the launch, thanks and God bless!

Thanks, John. That's helpful. Hopefully this table will be improved in time. It's a lot of stuff to weed through to see what one actually wants to see at a glance.

Sure. You get it for free and own it, just like the other free books. Note that cancellation works for the future, not for the past (so you don't get money back for the running month and there's no try to let this look like you didn't have a subscription in the past, which might have prompted your question). The cancellation works for the future and you will miss out on the future free books, but those you got in the past where your subscription was active remain yours.

At the moment there is no Verbum subscription (and people may still buy Verbum 10 packages, if I've seen that correct) - this is announced to come on November 11, 2024. I don't think there is any information here in the forums about the content of the Verbum subscriptions, so it is speculation as to whether they be the same or different. Currently there are no really different features in Verbum and Logos and I don't expect this to change in the future. However, the features may be allocated to subscription levels differently (which happens at the language-specific subscriptions as well, so the auto-translate feature is included in German Premium while in Logos it only comes with Max), and included books will most probably vary.
The upcoming Verbum 2025 libraries will of course be different to the Logos 2025 libraries, there's no information I have seen regarding different tracks (but might come, like they used to have with V10 Ordinariate etc). My understanding would be that those libraries require any kind of subsciption, but not that buyers need a Verbum subscription to buy those.
Have joy in the Lord!

10/9/2024 Order: 33804810 Logos Pro - Annual Order Total: $145.79 I paid for Pro more then I should pay for Max + I don't have the box for 2 year option
It is true that early access subscribers have gotten a bit of a raw deal. This could, however, be corrected by offering a deeply discounted 2-year option. It wasn't done intentionally. Decisions were still being made and pricing had not yet been set. Also, we did agree to the terms. But it admittedly doesn't feel like much of a "thank you."

I can't find where the post was right now, but the early access not being able to switch to the 2 year plan was addressed, stating that they are working on a fix and that we will be able to switch to it and still get the discount. If I find the post, I'll link it here.

It's not just about the discount. It's also about the fact that prices dropped over time. So those who locked in an annual plan early overpaid. Personally, I don't really mind. But others may, and I feel it's important to acknowledge.

Hi Ronald! I'm happy to answer your questions:
1. Yes! If you subscribe and you check out with the free book each month (exclusive to subscribers), you will permanently own that title. Even if you stop subscribing eventually (which I hope you don't!), you'll still keep the free books you got.
2. Also, yes! The additional 5% off perk is really special and does in fact stack on top of other discounts like Academic or other promotional sales.
I hope you enjoy the new Logos!

Wild Eagle - Our Connect and Early Access migrations caused some confusing looking orders in your order history - I apologize. That order you mentioned did not result in any credit card charge, and the $145 was in reference to the amount of credit you had from previous renewals that was applied to this order. You received more than a year of Logos Pro in that migration order since your price for Logos Pro is less than $145. I don't want to reveal more of your personal order history on the forums, but I'd be happy to discuss the details of your account with you if you'd like more explanation. You can message me by clicking on my name and then "Send a message".Jonathan Bradley said:Aaron Hamilton said:Wild Eagle said:This whole thing is messed up:

Jonathan - Yes, we are actively working on a solution for current subscribers to take advantage of the 2-year savings. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience. If you scroll to the bottom of https://www.logos.com/configure/subscriptions?trackId=191 you'll see a form if you'd like to be notified when it's available.
Aaron - Anyone who was migrated to a lower cost subscription had additional time applied to their new subscription, for example you may have had 10 months left in your early access annual subscription, but we would have given you 13 months of the new subscription because of the lower price (there were a lot of different price and timing combinations, so this is just an example). We appreciate the patience of the early access subscribers as we know the migration and pro-ration logic was a bit complex.Aaron Hamilton said:Jonathan Bradley said:I can't find where the post was right now, but the early access not being able to switch to the 2 year plan was addressed, stating that they are working on a fix and that we will be able to switch to it and still get the discount
