Book preview is a very important part in choosing. The 'see inside' preview is great on some books, bad on others. Some books have so many pages before an index that the 'quota' (I imagine it's an automatic thing) prevents us from seeing what really matters.
Since 'what really matters' may sound personal taste, I would argue that an index is beyond discussion as important. It may be decisive for buying it.
I don't know how an AI could help the 'automatic preview' now, but selecting the index, an 'intro' and jumping to the book chapters would help a lot. Some resources, especially academic ones, have page after page of abbreviations for resources commonly cited, for example. Those 'eat up' the quota and we get no real preview. And they tend to be expensive and even more in need of a good preview.
So, if AI can help, I would suggest selecting the full index (every time), intro (if available) and chapter previews.
Thanks and God bless.
