Hide the "New" button in the toolbar?
I understand why there is a "New" button in the toolbar, but is there a way to hide it? Once it's been clicked on it's a bit distracting to have a bright blue button on every open text pane. I've looked for an option and haven't seen one but thought it was worth asking.

There is no current way to remove it.

Stick a bandaid over it. Thats what my dad did with the glaring red dimmer switch light on his old Pontiac car dash. It worked great.

Unlike the glaring red dimmer switch light I would think the NEW button will be removed at some stage. But you can get those little round bandaids in the meantime.
