Scripture reference hover not working, only displaying link

Hello,

I'm helping a friend debug some issues with reftagger on their site. At some point, the hover effect stopped working for scripture references – the link appears, but nothing happens on hover. Here's a link to an article that has some linked scripture references: https://www.thecentermemphis.org/resources/now-go

Reftagger is picking up the references, but the hover effect isn't functional. Has anyone run into this?

I looked at the HTML of your site; it has <a href="https://biblia.com/bible/niv/Matt 22.37-39">Matthew 22:37-39</a>.

By default, Reftagger doesn't tag and overwrite existing links. I think you can change this in Advanced Settings:

Or add "convertHyperlinks: true" to your refTagger settings in the JavaScript that initializes it.
