What is this and why isn't there a check box to get rid of it?
What is the annoying thing (in the red box) and why isn't there a check box in the menu to get rid of it like there is for the other popups?

No, it is a special video that I'd never seen until I updated a backup installation for the first time since July. If I start the video, and stop it, the close option becomes visible.
