Creating a collection that only excludes certain books

I need a little help that I haven't yet been able to find by searching the forums.

With the advent of the smart ai searches, which I love, I've found that I want to search "My books" while excluding certain books that I don't want input from. I see there is an option to exclude certain books from a collection. Is it possible to add my entire library to a collection, and then just exclude certain books? I cannot find a way to mass-select books.

Yes, that's possible but probably very consuming to calculate at startup time. A better idea would be to tag such books (and/or to tag the remaining book) and run the search against an ad-hoc collection with the rule "mytag:ai-search-approved" or so.
