Can I highlight a scanned book?
I doubt I can, but I thought I'd ask.
On. a desktop Mac, what can I do with J Girardeau, 'Calvinism and...'?
Can I add notes to it?

No. Edition:facsimile books are media collections of pictures/images. You can neither select text or images, nor add notes (including highlights) nor do anything else you would with text. You can copy those images and paste or send to where images are usable within Logos or outside. Even the print dialog will not open Print/Export, but the image printing from the OS.
