Hello,
Please don't bring subscription, it's going to kill Logos. It's not going to bring the success you think it will, and it will turn off the long standing members. This will backfire.

Trovel,
Welcome to the forums!
You’re a little bit late to the party, as the saying goes. The subscriptions officially went live as of October 21st. There was a lot of build up leading up to that (a lot being six or so months of early access and the such).

What do you not like about subscriptions? What do you think you personally will lose by Logos moving to a subscription service?
I think the opposite to some. According to reports (I found using professor google) about other companies who changed to a subscription model it seems to increase the user base, allowing people to get access to the full feature set without significant outlay is seemingly attractive. Apparently it also not only improves the financial position of a company, making them more attractive to investors, but increases their ability to implement innovative new features. I expect this will give Logos the ability to stay relevant in the market do more of what they do best.
I think most people probably underestimate the number of people who were already Logos subscribers.
It will be interesting to see what happens next for sure.
I do not know that subscriptions will kill Logos. I surely hope not, but it could possibly do damage. For those who choose to subscribe, that is fine by me. For those of us who have absolutely no interest in a subscription, I hope that is fine for them. The marketplace will determine whether subscriptions work, or not.
Personally, I can live without it.
The thing that has kept me relaxed while not being completely thrilled* with the idea of subscription: if it flops, Logos can and will drop it. They have before.
(*I'm not thrilled but largely understand why they're doing it. I'm willing to give it a try and have subscribed.)
Logos has truly made Bible study accessible to me in a way that just rocks. I think subscription is just as doable as before. If it doesn't work, Logos will find a way to pull up their socks and get on with things.
