inconsistency between note tags and clipping tags
in notes, when you start typing a tag, Logos supplies choices of previously-used tags that match, or partially match, what you type. This helps maintain consistency, helping to prevent entering multiple variations of the same word or concept.
Clipping tags, however, do not have this verification functionality.
I am having a hard time understanding (1) why notes and clippings do not share the same tags and (2) why clipping tags do not prompt for appropriate previously-used tags.
It would make more sense to me if both notes and clippings shared the same set of tags and the same verification functionality.
I like consistency.

Perhaps they meant to put this suggestion here- https://feedback.logos.com/boards/logos-desktop-app rather than in this suggestions forum.
Then you can post the link once you create and come back here and ask for votes.

I voted for it.
Ken, in about a week, re-post the link in a new thread to pick up some traction. Then bump it again after a month or so. [Y]

I am a bit confused. What is the purpose of this "suggestions" forum vs the feedback forum? Is this a place where you can float a kite and get feedback and refinements prior to going prime time in the feedback forum?
Or what?

Why is posting a new thread better than just bumping this one? It seems confusing to have 2 similar threads.

It will be changing soon but the suggestions forum is informal to throw ideas out or drum up support. the feedback site is the formal request which can be voted on to allow Logos to estimate user support.

You don't have to do it; but it will get you more votes. Bumping older threads don't attract as much attention as new threads.
If you want to get pedantic, retitle the new thread with some kind of clickbait title, like, "You won't believe what happened next when she read this post."
LOL.
