"A Person Speaks about Something" template not working
I'm getting no results for this template search, even though I'm on the broad search category.
I'm new, so what am I doing wrong?

I don’t perform these kinds of searches. Did you try a different bible version?

Try:
speaker:Jesus INTERSECTS sense:money
I think you want to know where Jesus is speaking about money, If you just use money it will only find that term, but if you want a broader sense of money then the above works.

Now it says I am using an incorrect data type, switching the version doesn't seem to work either.

Here is my results using the ESV. When you type money there should be a drop down allowing you to select sense,
Try this as I know it produces results.

I got 77 results in the NIV with the following query:
speaker:Jesus INTERSECTS thing:Money
It also didn't accept sense:Money for me.

That's strange. I get the exact same results John showed for ESV in my NIV - which should be the case, since the speaker and sense tags are in the SBLGNT and retrieved through the reverse interlinear.

I reran it with sense:money (lower case m) and it gave me the same results as John. thing:Money (upper case M) does give more results which makes sense.

Before worrying about the search syntax, the first thing I would ask is which "King James Version" are you running your search and do whther you have the reverse interlinear for that version. Without a revese interlinear the search will not work and a reverse interlinear has not been made for every KJV bibl available in Logos.
Running this search on the seven of the differnt KJV bibles I have demonstrates this:
- 1769 Authorized Version (Revised Oxford KJV) I get no search results as it has no reverse interlinear and is tagged only with Strongs numbers (and from what I can see is no longer available for purchase).
- 1895 Holy Bible Revised Version I get no search results as it has no reverse interlinear and no Strong's numbers either.
- King James Bible (Wordsearch edition) will yield no results as it is tagged only with Strong's numbers and has no interlinear.
- Running on King James Version (1900 Pure Cambridge Edition) will I get 6 results for your orginal search (speaker:person:Jesus INTERSECTS money)
If I change the search to speaker:Jesus INTERSECTS sense:money as John F suggested I get 50 results in 36 verses.
- 1873 Cambrdige Paragraph KJV (Scrivener's) yields the same results as it has no reverse interlinear and also Strong's Numbers.
- 2000 Complete Word Study Bible (KJV) also has only strongs numbes and no reveser interlinear, so there is no search results.
- 2011 New Cambridge Paragraph KJV with Apocrypha yields however yields no results as it has no reverse interlinear and also not strongs numbering either for that matter.
Cover shots of each of these bibles to assist in identifying which you are searching. Note I have customized the names to help better identiy each one. If you don't see the cover shot of the KJV you are searching, please post a picture.
