Sentence discontinuity in eBooks app at bottom of screen

I am using an iPhone 6 Pro to read in the current EBooks app. 

I open a book by clicking the read button on the reading plans screen. I then tap in the text to dismiss the bottom menu. I read the last line, turn the page, and a discontinuous sentence starts at the top of the screen. I swipe backwards to the screen I was previously reading, and there are two more lines of text which were not there previously. Now if I go to the next page, the sentence is continuous.

The problem seems to involve the bottom button screen (Dashboard, Library etc). It seems to cause there to be one or two lines of text invisible off the bottom of the reading screen.

Please post a screen shot as I cannot find a read button in the Logos Mobile App.

As Mike has requested, more context is needed. However: If you are in paged view, you can two finger scroll. That might help the problem.
