QUESTION/BUG re: Biblical events Factbook

Have we lost the distinction between where the event is narrated and where it is referenced in Factbook? Or was it limited to the Biblical Event Navigator? If the latter please add the distinction to Factbook - it is the main reason I use the Logos event scheme.

The distinction between where a biblical event is narrated and where it is referenced has primarily been a feature of the Biblical Event Navigator rather than Factbook. The Event Navigator specifically categorizes occurrences as narrated and referenced. There needs to be a clear distinction in Factbook.

I think the hierarchy in Factbook is intended to convey that, but I have found it confusing when applied to Search e.g. event:="The flood" vs event:"The flood" vs event:>>"The flood"

The distinction is there in Factbook, but not labeled as clearly as it is in the Bible Event Navigator.

It's probably already clear that if you run a Factbook on a passage, the (Outline) view of the Events section shows events that are narrated to occur within the passage, and the (Mentioned) view shows events that are mentioned but narrated to occur elsewhere.

If you click through on one of the events to load its event page into Factbook, then you'll see under Key References two parts (image below). The top part without a heading is generally speaking where the event is narrated to occur, and the "See Also" section is mentions. In the Bible Event Navigator, those are labeled differently, "Defining Passages" and "Mentioned In." The BEN is clearer, to be sure. The reason it's not labeled that way in the Factbook's event page is historical and also we can't guarantee that the event page doesn't also have a topic or some other data key subsumed within the definition of the page.

I am hoping to revamp the Biblical Event-type pages in Factbook soon, and I definitely plan to make the labeling clearer. (Couldn't say exactly when.)

Thanks for the detailed reply Eli. It hadn't occurred to me to read key passages in that manner. I have been enjoying the Factbook improvements - keep them coming.
