Function Issue that MUST Be Addressed
I like the new way of accessing the Parallel Resources panel. But there's a funtional problem that is critical and makes the tool very difficult to use at times.
Simple fix: Popups. Either enable a popup with the full title, or (maybe better) a popup with the book information page. That way, the available resources won't be a mystery click (see screenshot).
I was told in another thread that popups are there, but slow. I hovered for one hour to test this...never saw a popup. (In fact, I had to do it twice...the first time, after a few minutes, I got a popup that said "No parallel resources available." This did not occur the second time I hovered.)
(And yes, I know there is a workaround by changing the book titles in the Library. But that's an unworkable fix and should be completely unnecessary, IMO.)

Once the books are chosen, I wish they would have a column header for the Parallel Resource Panel and show the book, or abbreviation of the book, that's in the column. [8-|]

This has been fixed in the first beta for the new version 38 (to be released in about six weeks):

I'm on the latest beta and not finding this to be true.
What's doubly strange is that I did find it to be true not too long ago.
Its there for me—Mac OS; which version are you using?

Windows 11. Last I remember seeing it was actually before 38 I believe?

It is not implemented in the Stable release of 38.0

So not available in the current release version…and therefore not available (again) until the new beta is released?

@Doc B I was pleasantly surprised to see this working correctly in my v38 Windows today. Is it just me?
Edit: I played around with it for a bit, and now it has stopped working. I was unable to figure out what caused the popup to work/stop working.
Edit 2: I figured it out. The problem relates to the reference box. Possibly the reference box is creating some kind of interference that prevents the popup from showing under certain conditions.
This is how you can fix the bug: Click into the reference box and hit enter. Now the popups will show.

un - be - lievable ! this really works!
(I still think Logos should fix it properly, but hey, what a cool workaround - I'd never think of doing this)

It is unpredictable in 38.1, and this issue should attract attention with the appointment of a FL person to attend to Bugs in this forum.

This bug has been officially acknowledged. See here:

Parallel text still doesn't work in 38.1.2.

So how do we draw the attention of the right FL person to threads which have a bug in, but have not been attended to please?

You don't need to: in Aarons's parallel thread, linked above, @Joe McCune (Faithlife) acknowledged the bug and promised to make a ticket (maybe he found an existing ticket that was already closed and reopened it, since the fix didn't make it into v38, or into v39 Beta 1).

I think you've misunderstood my post. I was asking about how we draw FL's attention to bugs in other threads…

Sorry Paul, I misunderstood that. Two ways:
- make sure the thread is tagged with "Bug" (if the OP didn't do that, any MVP can put that in for you)
- directly address FL employees active in the forums, namely Jason and/or Joe
