Offline function

Hello, I'm currently attempting to utilize the Android application, but I've observed that there are numerous features that necessitate an internet connection. One such feature is the fact book.

Previously, this feature functioned both online and offline, but now it seems to be accessible only when an internet connection is available. I am curious to know how many other functionalities also require an internet connection in order to provide the complete experience I expect from the resources available. Is there something I might be overlooking?

Best regards,
Mick

I thought to check 'Help' (similar to the Desktop) but I couldn't find any mobile Help.  Also, I thought they used to 'grey' tool choices offline.

I am wondering the same thing. I was on a plane last night and my Logos mobile app was almost unusable since I didn’t have an internet connection. How can I use the app offline? Also, is there a way to download all of my books so they are locally stored on my device for times I don’t have the internet? I have more than enough storage to keep them locally available. I know I could download them one by one, but is there an option to download them in batches or all at once?

is there a way to download all of my books

There is, but I personally don't recommend it (others feel differently). There are many issues which can cause you troubles in the long run. You should note that BOOK searches can be done offline, but LIBRARY searches cannot. Since many features require internet access, I don't see a great benefit to download large portions of your library for most users. If there are certain books you are currently reading or often turn to, those would be candidates to download.

I don't think there has been a change in behavior.

Can you elaborate on what issues having the books stored locally can cause? I have over 153GB free on my iPad Pro. I don’t think I’m in any danger of filling it up by downloading my library, but I would hate to cause issues in the app.

The app is prone to corruption. The best fix sometimes is to delete and reinstall. The app is also not as good at keeping resource files up to date. That isn’t a problem if you’re accessing it from the cloud. Sometimes notes and highlights get skewed when there is a disconnect between resource versions. And again, there are so many “online only” features, why bother downloading your entire library?

For the reasons stated in the original post. I don’t always have an internet connection available but still need to access resources, and I don’t always know in advance everything I want to use.
