If one were to want to trace developments of different theological traditions throughout Church History, what would be some good resources to do so?
For instance, if I'm sure we've all ran across charts such as this

If I wanted to find a resource that gives a birds eye view on each of these schisms and provided a "survey" of sorts, which gives a good amount of information on each of the "forks" in the chart, what would you recommend?
I'm particularly looking for resources that cover up to the Protestant Reformation, so I'm not too worried about tracing the developments of the traditions that happened after that. I'm specifically looking for resources with citations to chase down, but it doesn't matter if it's a popular level or academic level resource. If it is popular level though, I would prefer for the assertions to be cited.
I did ask this question to GPT and it gave me a few recommendations, out of them, the one's I'm familiar with don't provide the citations I'd be looking for: The Story of Christianity" by Justo L. González, "Church History in Plain Language" by Bruce L. Shelley, "A History of Christianity" by Kenneth Scott Latourette.
A couple suggestions it gave me that seem intriguing would be: "The History of Christianity: From the Disciples to the Dawn of the Reformation" by The Great Courses, "Christian History Made Easy" by Timothy Paul Jones, "The Oxford Handbook of Early Christian Studies" (which just so happens to be on sale at a great price at the moment).
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated, they don't necessarily have to be books, courses would be great as well. I would like if they came from a broadly Christian perspective, however if they are from a Christian perspective, I'd like to find something that isn't incredibly biased toward modern evangelical Christianity.
