What does Logos do when it hangs?

I am very fond of Logos 4 but sometimes it just hangs.

For instance, I can't edit even my first note in Owen's Hebrew commentary - the first time I am doing notetaking in Logos4.

It hangs after I enter a word, then when it comes alive, and I type a word, it hangs again and so on. I cannot finish the note.

The memory consumation is low (about 70 Mb for Logos4). I am working on a Tablet PC (Asus EeePC T101 with 2 Gb of RAM). Mozilla working at the same time, but it doesn't hang when Logos4 hangs.

Here is a screenshot - only the circle cursor (Windows 7 hourglass) is not visible - and Logos4 is hanging...

Please help me diagnose and resolve the problem. I am working under latest beta, updated from beta channel.

Timothy, could you run with Diagnostic Logging enabled and do a sesssion of this attempt at notetaking where Logos hangs periodically, then close down Logos and post the Logos4.log file here? That will show timings of internal commands and will help the Logos developers to diagnose why things are taking so long between keystrokes.

I have turned on Logging now (by pressing Ctrl). With just only one resource loaded - namely Owen, where I was taking notes - I have the Note taking window hanging.

From the logs I see that Note syncing is too frequent. Perhaps, the event to sync notes could be changing focuses in windows, not at typing words.

I am working from Russia, not America. My Internet connection is very fast, but it's still not enough to sync very well with an U.S. server.

Update: I have checked the Program settings and I have Updates turned off and Use Internet turned off.

But it seems that in Debug mode the Internet is still active. And with that, it still hangs.

Yes, Note syncing is too frequent here too, but I guess we don't have as long a delay connecting to the Logos server. You can run with "Use Internet" set to No (in Tools > Program Settings, under "General") at times when you're going to be doing heavy Note editing, and that will prevent the sync from happening.

Yes, I have Internet turned off, it seems (please see my new note). But the program hangs both in on and off mode of Internet.

Perhaps, the note taking feature doesn't care about Internet access status, therefore it tries to connect anyway, which makes it hang.
