Indexing killed by another automatic download.
I was six hours into indexing (probably 75% done), and a download appeared and stopped the indexing. That's the second time today since I got the major resource update that indexing has had to restart. I'm thinking there isn't any point in indexing during the day (at least during the beta) since we can get these random updates. It's just a waste of CPU. Am I wrong in thinking this way?

And a piddling 36MB at that! Such a small fly in the ointment!! At least I got to experience the new quick "preparing your library." It only took a few seconds to finish and open L4 again! I have noticed a BUG - when the auto updates are ready to be installed and I click on the taskbar icon L4 crashes in trying to close itself so that the updates can be installed. Once I close it manually by clicking on the error box everything goes smoothly.

I waited until i saw the announcement of the major resource download before starting (roughly 4 hours after your post). After installing B5 on my desktop, I paused the indexing and received the major download. I waited maybe half an hour after that in case there was another download (indexing still paused) then I shut off internet access via Program Settings and let the indexing proceed. Too bad if i missed anything, it'll wait until Beta 6.
Am I wrong in thinking this way? I don't think so!

The
thing is...I, too, waited until Bradley said the the resources were
available, too (about 2pm Central time). Weird that you didn't see it until after I posted this. Then a about an hour later there was a program update download. And then about 5 hours later there was a resource download (logos deluxe map set I think).MacBook Pro (2019), ThinkPad E540
