Back and Forward History in L4--BUG

I posted a query/concern on the L4 forum about this issue in the chance that I might be the one who was "missing something" about the program, but the consensus is that it is simply a feature the is missing and sorely lacking in L4. The History feature doesn't even come close to addressing this issue. This feature is so fundamental to the way I use the program (L3, of course...not L4) that it's absence, among numerous other issues, has kept me from adopting L4 as anything more than an occasional pinch hitter. The only reason I haven't posted about this earlier is because I don't use L4 regularly. Frankly, I'm amazed that this has been allowed to progress to this stage and still not be fixed--because as far as I am concerned this is a huge BUG, not a missing feature.

Consensus? I, for one, did not participate in that thread because it's fine with me as it currently works. It would be way below the threshold of "sorely lacking" on my list. And to think no one would have known it you hadn't claimed consensus.[;)]

I do agree though with David it could do with some improvements. As it stands I don't use history in L4. I was hoping it would improve upon what L3 offered but this has not been the case. There have been other things more pressing to me, and there are still missing features and resources (video books) to go but we are seeing some headway with 4.1 beta so I am becoming a little more focussed on productivity enhancements, but still haven't forgotten the big ticket items. Some improvements to L4 History function and I might start using it.... and that to me is the danger in saying usage statistics are low for a feature and so the users don't' want it... Low usage may simply indicate as it stands, it just doesn't cut it.
