It's free as a PBB and also in a two free Bible programs that are very popular.  So,  I have it now and am quite happy with it as is.

Judging by its pre-pub progress, evidently a lot. :)

I'm only interested in Gill's commentaries. They are nice to have as a reference. But 200 dollars is much more than it's worth to me. I would pay $50 max.

I'm a Spurgeon fan and he quotes Gill quite a bit when he wants to charm his congregation... And he's John Gill, so yeah I would bite if it wasn't so expensive.

Same here....would be nice to have .... but price is a bit too high to make it a must have in Logos format. I would have like to have seen this broken up  on Community Pricing.  The Ironside commentaries first came out as individual books on CP if I correctly remember.   There maybe reasons why they couldn't do the same. ... they might become the Barne's of the Pre-Pub pages

To me, it's worth far more than the asking price and I have it on my pre-pub order. There is nothing in Logos that compares to it and it is the main reason I still use Logos 3 so much. I think it is one that Logos should bite the bullet on and produce anyway.

I'm in, but I hope it (or most of my other pre-pubs) don't ship for a long, long time.  I have thousands of dollars that need to be spread over a few years.  So, I'll be patient.

Thanks for the responses. Sure wish Logos would make it a CP project. If they go ahead and give us the improved PBB I've read about, I don't see this going into production for a loooooooog time!

and Christian living are included in this set which will benefit
pastors, theologians, and teachers alike.  Morgan’s
lifetime of wisdom and biblical studies make up almost 6,000 pages of
valuable insight that will keep you coming back for more.

Morgan, long-time pastor of Westminster Chapel in London and mentor of Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
made it his aim to share his wealth of knowledge and years of scholarly
research as simply as possible, in order to make his works accessible
to all. His words have inspired and encouraged thousands in the past
century, and will continue to provide excellent, biblically-based hope

library and will assist you greatly expanding in your knowledge of the
Bible, of how to approach biblical studies, and of how to live a
    Christ-centered life.

    TO THIS:

    John
Gill was one of the most influential Reformed thinkers and pastors of
his day, and all of his writings are contained in this massive
twenty–one volume collection. Known for his expository works on all of
Scripture and for compiling a practical book of theology for his
congregation, he is most famous for his passionate defense of Calvinism
and the sovereignty of God in all situations. In Sermons and Tracts, Vol. 3, Gill includes his famous essays, The Doctrine of the Trinity Stated and Vindicated and A Dissertation Concerning the Antiquity of the Hebrew Language, Letters, Vowel-Points, and Accents.

Gill's writings helped to define and encourage Reformed thinking in
the 18th century. Considered to be the first major Baptist scholar, Gill
continues to shape modern Calvinism. Although modern scholars debate
about Gill's role as the father of Baptist hyper-Calvinism, it cannot be
denied that at the very least, he was a forerunner to that tradition.
During his lifetime, Gill and his church backed the preaching and
ministry of George Whitefield. His work represents not only essential 18th-century biblical scholarship, but a turning point in Reformed theology.

Gill’s commentaries are still widely used today by laity and pastors,
being theologically sound and practical for daily study. Gill makes the
Scripture accessible and applicable to the everyday reader, believing
that sound doctrine impacts daily life. Containing over 12,000 pages, The Works of John Gill
is an essential resource for any student of the Scriptures and of
Reformed thinking. Perfect for the general reader, professors, and Bible
scholars, these twenty–one volumes will enlighten, encourage, and
stimulate thinking and application. Gill’s writings include everything
from exposition, commentary, essays, and a biography to help aid
understanding of this prominent man of faith and his works. The Logos
edition makes study easy by linking with every Scripture reference to
    the Bibles in your library.

    Key Features Included

    • Commentaries, essays, and biography
    • Contains a staggering 12,925 pages
    • Includes two essays from Gill’s opponents

Morgan cost $179.95, Gill 199.95 quite a deal. I'd be willing to pay twice as much to get it over the hump. 12,000 pages vs. 6000 pages. That's 6000 more pages for $20 more...

Of the the 89 pre-pubs I've signed up for:

    14 have a shipping date

    46 are under development

    29 are gathering interest

    - Of the 29 gathering interest, there are 17 having less than half the interest needed to move on to the next stage of the process

    - of the bottom half 17, 13 are completely bogged down and even though I'm signed up to preorder them, I'm pretty sure they'll never make it out of "gathering interest" unless Logos forces them through.

    - The Works of John Gill (21 Vols.) sits third from the bottom only having gathered more interest than 'Classic Commentaries and Studies on Pslams' and 'Words Remembered, Texts Renewed: Essays in Honour of John F. A. Sawyer'

I'm sure John F.A. Sawyer would be humbled and honored! [;)]

So Barnes is going to make it into our libraries before these titles ?

I would have passed if the price only included his exposition of the Old and New Testaments. As it happens they're the only parts of this collection I really want, so I'm having to pay US$199 for them anyway, but I'm hoping to get something out of the other works.

I can't see paying $200.00 when I have all of Gill's Commentaries plus:

    Body of Practical Divinity

    Body of Doctrinal Divinity

    Exposition of Song Of Solomon

    Cause of God and Truth

Prophecies of the Old Testament respecting the Messiah
