strange missing resources problem

hi everyone,
i'm running logo 4.10.4.5314 on an imac. i also have logos 4 installed on a windows 7 laptop. last week, the ESV study notes was released and was automatically updated on my windows logo 4. for some weird reason, the mac logos 4 downloaded the updates but did not install them. when i searched the library, ESV study notes doesn't appear (but appears on the windows version).
i did a search for the ESVSB.logo4 file and it was located in my ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<random>/ResourceManager/Downloaded/LLS/ESVSB folder.
i also noticed that while most of the folders in the Downloaded/ folder were empty, some still had files in it: Downloaded/LLS/BBLSTRY02 had the BBLSTRY02.logos4 file in it (and BBLSTRY06-08 as well in their respective folders)
so my question is: why did this happen? and how do i moves these files over to the Resources folder? do i simply drag them in there? do i need to enter a command afterwards?
thanks,
howie

You should not have to move them manually. In fact, I don't think that would work. Try typing Update Resources in the Command Bar and see if L4 locates the missing resource.

thanks for writing! nope, already tried update resources, update now and rebuild index. logo 4 still doesn't see those files in the downloaded folder.

Hi Howard
I guess it might be time to fire up 'Skype' and give customer services a call.
It just might be a licensing issue?

Howard:
I've had success with customers in the past who had items stuck in the download folder by scanning the folder they are in. Try typing "Scan" and the path to the files in the command bar, wait until you see that combination appear in the picker, hit enter, and restart Logos4. If you want you can even have the window where you see files open to see if they move.
If that does not do it. Try update resources again and post logs when it is done and if it fails. Instructions are linked to from my signature.

hi!
so i should type:
scan /Users/Howie/Library/Application\ Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/ResourceManager/Downloaded/
i just did that and nothing happened. how does logos4 handle space in the path name? for example, Application Support?
i also just tried individual directories and then the files themselves:
/Users/Howie/Library/Application\ Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/ResourceManager/Downloaded/LLS:ESVSB/
/Users/Howie/Library/Application\ Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/ResourceManager/Downloaded/LLS:ESVSB/ESVSB.logos4
i also tried update resources and it said "no updates"

Yes. If you do that. Hit enter. Then Restart Logos4 you should see it prepare you library. Once it reopens Logos4 check to see if that file has placed itself in the correct location. If it does not collect your logs (instructions are linked to from my signature) and post them to this thread.

On second thought. Just take logs of your attempt at updating resources and post them. Thanks.

Howard,
Could you post the following databases for us to look at:
/Users/Howie/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/UpdateManager/Updates.db
/Users/Howie/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/DownloadManager/DownloadManager.db
/Users/Howie/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/ksgmcd2c.xk5/ResourceManager/ResourceManager.db
The last one might be a bit large, so you might have to compress one or more of these files before posting.
Thanks,
