Bug: 4.1 RC2: Find Caesarea on BP map "Paul's Third Missionary Journey" doesn't zoom in

Search for Achaia to get to "Paul's Third Missionary Journey" map

Note that it zooms way way in to show you Achaia

Now press Ctrl+F and type Caesarea.

The map recenters itself somewhere vaguely over near where Caesarea Maratima is (also called simply Caesarea), but it doesn't zoom in enough to even be able to read the text. And the fact that there's another Caesarea (Caesarea Philippi, not depicted on the map as far as I can see) might be what is confusing it.

Not always - depends whether I'm on the map to start with.

It zooms so you can see both towns on the map - Caesarea Maritima on the coast and Caesarea (in the region) of Cappadocia - also known as Caesarea Mazaca - quite distinct from Caesarea Philippi.

You can see Caesarea Maritima & Caesarea Philippi if you search for Caesarea - they will be on the Early Christian Communities map.

If that map was the last active one (see note below) and you enter 'Caesarea' in the Place box, it will zoom in on Caesarea Maritima (as the description appears to be referencing that particular Caesarea due to its location on the Mediterranean coast). However, with Find, it is looking for all matches for 'Caesarea' so, as Dave mentioned, it is making sure both Caesareas on the map are in view. If you were to add 'Maritima' to Find, it would zoom in on that city.

Note: If you enter Caesarea and another map is active, it will zoom in on that one, however, if you then choose "Paul's Third Missionary Journey" or other map, that next map will open in it's usual (Fit) state, and won't zoom in on the place. It would make sense for it to zoom in on subsequent maps, too. I'll report that as a possible bug.
