Wiki: Smart Tags, Word 2010 Screen Shot Required

I'm working on the wiki page for Smart Tags. I use Word 2007. If some one could upload for me here a Word 2010 screen shot, that I could add to the page to show the differences between the two versions of Word in relation to smart tags, it would be appreciated. All I need is shot basically show what this looks like in Word 2010:

Andrew,

I am not sure if you already know this or not, but I discovered that in 2010 Smart tags will not work if you are running L4 as an administrator. I changed the setting for L4 to run that way and smart tags stopped working. I discovered that was the problem and changed it back to start normally; smart tags works again.

That may be something you want to include on your page.

Looking at this page first would have almost been the equivalent of looking at the instructions before I start putting something together. My testosterone levels only permit me to do that after I have broken something[H]

Yeap Thanks, Bradley, had seen that and was going to reference it on the wiki page but didn't know if it was appropriate to take and use images on the Logos website.

I am fairly new to both Logos 4 and Windows 7. Could you please tell me where and how I would make the change as to how I run Logos 4? I assume I am currently running L4 as an administrator. Grateful if you could assume I'm a newbie in your answer. I've never before changed permissions in Windows 7. Thanks for any help.

Hi Irving,

Assuming that you're ONLY asking about Smart Tags (the sole subject of this thread), I'll answer along the lines of how you get those working.... Check out this link/page for info... http://www.logos.com/articleviewer/530

As far as HOW you run Logos 4 & Windows 7, the 4th bullet at that link says: "The Logos Smart Tag does not support running Logos 4 or Word elevated (i.e., "Run as administrator"); both programs must be run with regular user permissions."

In other words, change NOTHING in HOW you run Logos 4 or Windows 7. [:D]

All the changes are in Microsoft Word (Smart Tags are ONLY for Word. No other word processor.)

Follow the rest of the directions for activating Smart Tags in your version of Word, & you should be all set.

In Logos 4 (which MUST be running), right click on the 'book chapter:verses' in Word, then pick Additional Actions to see what Smart Tag choices you have.

Hi Bill,

Yesterday, I actually read through the entire Logos support article to which you refer. I ensured that I had all the options checked and enabled (which I did). And it still didn't work. When I right-clicked on a Bible reference in MS Word and chose 'Additional Actions,' no Logos Smart Tag Options showed up on the sub-menu. I was really getting flustered. Then I posted to this forum. Your answer has revealed my flaw. I did NOT have Logos 4 open and running. So I just retried it with Logos 4 open, and everything works. Eureka! Thanks for the very important detail! Blessings,
