WILD prediction

I have no substantive basis for this other than the official Mac release on October 1st. That said.... [I]
I boldly predict a complete website overhaul to coincide with Mac release. A new look (hmmm, Mac-like?) and a new and improved forum.
Sure would be nice.

Well if anything happens to Steve Jobs one has to wonder what will become of Mac...since the last time he wasn't at the helm it was playing with the Tidy Bowl Man....

Well I might be willing to predict they are holding off on the gold release of 4.1 Win until Oct 1 to coincide with the Mac, as someone else speculated a while ago.
But the new website? Nah. That's going to be so awesome, it's going to take time. And it's going to need some beta testing before they roll it out. I predict it will be a very small private invitation-only beta because it's dealing with people's real money. Since I haven't received an invitation yet, I bet it isn't ready to go into beta yet. They'll probably alpha test it in house. I haven't heard a peep from the usual suspects, the Twitter leakers. So I'm guessing it's still under development, not even in alpha yet. It would be nice to have it by Christmas! That's my current guess.

I hope not - can you imagine what the call center would look like if both go live on the same day? An early Christmas Tree![li]

I wondered why I'd not seen you post in the secret "Website beta test" forum. We've been having such fun in there without you!
[just kidding!]

Some of us (I won't say who) even toyed with the idea of loading you up with pre-pubs at the last minute. You took all the fun out of that one.

This year has been amazing for Apple - became the world's largest technology company in May (larger market capitalization than Microsoft), now only Exxon worth more in this world => http://www.macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/26817/ (quite different than a decade or two ago)
Also appreciate Apple's desire to make insanely great items. Apple's Graphical User Interface (GUI) predates Windows - still like Apple's keyboard shortcuts for undo, cut, copy, and paste (bit easier to type than Windows variety that came years later).
Thankful for Logos cross-platform commonality and functionality.
Likewise Thankful for Logos offering best Bible Study Library and software.
Seminary professor has substantial answer for Why Logos ? => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/23527/175885.aspx#175885 Flexibility reasoning includes "... A long time ago I reached the point where I stopped being interested in tinkering with computers as a hobby and have focused on using them as tools to support my real work. I predominantly use a Macintosh because it lets me get my real work done with the least hassle. ..."
Concur less tinkering needed on a Mac. Also, Windows security vulnerabilities over 1,000 times greater than Mac OS X.

Lots of folk betting on Apple. However by the saner rating of corporate size, Apple still has a way to go. Not in the Top 10 here(just American companies):
Oh! There it is:
Apple is a good company while Steve Jobs is at the helm. No doubt they will gain in ranking this year.

Unfortunately the fortunes of a company hinging on one person is always concerning...if anything happens to Jobs I'd be concerned. The last time he wasn't at the helm Apple had major problems.

That would be Chris Roberts (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/22395/167498.aspx#167498) But I think they'd be wise to hold off until after Oct 1 simply because the long promise has been feature parity. Right now they'd almost have it, but introduce 4.1 as Gold before Oct 1 and I predict a thunderstorm [li] of discontent.
So..... Rosie is sure she's on the early beta list for good [h] and I got her watching twitter. If you don't want to try out the RC it should be pushed to the stable channel in the next week.
Quoted today from Logos worker as part of answer regarding another query.

And even that near disaster was started by Jobs' actions when he brought in John Sculley from Pepsi. Surely he will do better with preparing his next replacement.

Cameron has already posted that L4.0 Mac will not have the features that will be introduced in 4.1 Win. We Mac users are a civilized bunch. No one threatened to travel to Bellingham to burn down Logos. [8-|]

I suppose that is a possibility.
Oh, by the way. How did the tournament work out for you guys last year?
