Deleting "old" Layouts, deletes "Named" Layouts

While attempting to reduce the number of old layouts by deleting them, I discovered a few clicks too late, that deleting any old layout that was a template for a "saved" layout, deleted BOTH! Ouch.

I would suggest changing this of at a minimum posting a warning.

There was a related post December 2009 but I have not be able to find a response.
