Logos 4 Crash - go for 50 seconds at best and then need to restart

What can I do to Logos to run properly?
I open L4 on a HP EliteBook 8540W running Win 7, 4 G mem, etc..
The home page opens and if I am not quick enough the program fail and windows try to get a solution.
Sometimes I make it to open at least the book of the day and can maybe read two or three pages before I need to start all over again.
I upgraded to the L4 Gold option from L3 Gold.
Internet is active and downloads is keeping everyone else frustrated in our home. Today the download was just over 400MB. So the only thing working is the download.
Please help as this software is busy to bring me very close to sinning.
Using the software for the intended purpose is something that not feature on my computer.

We will look at your logs and attempt to determine the fix.

I can assure you that it is not your machine etc.
Mine is the same as yours (except that I have some extra RAM).
Are you able to instal "logging"?

While still trying to solve the problem and switching on logging etc, an updater run and it seemed to have solved my problems.
I had to download a couole of gig of information and this is still busy.
