Is it possible to search all books by a particular author on a given subject?  If so how do you do it?

Hi Jennifer,

Open a search window by selecting the search icon, select basic then in the search box type author:author's last name and run the search on your entire library.

Thanks John for your response.

I'm still note able to accomplish what I'm looking for.  I'd like to know what a particular author says about "love" in all of their books in my library without having to look through all the other books not written by them.  When I tried what you suggested I was only able to pull up a book that a particular author wrote without being able to further search it.  Any suggestions?

Hi Jennifer

I would normally do this by creating a collection containing books written by that author and then searching the collection for the term you were interest in (in this case "love").

I agree with the above post. For example open collections, create new and then type author:Last name and the collection should populate with their books. Now run a basic search on that collection. Here are a few screen shots:

It works in Logos 3, that may explain your difficulty in Logos 4.

That makes sense - and is consistent with the blog post being June 2009 which I missed earlier!

Jennifer - looks like the collections approach outlined above is the way to do it in Logos 4,
