Sermon File Addin Date check

I just stumbled upon a sermon I wrote in 2998. Pretty amazing. I guess time travel works!

It would be cool if the Sermon File Compile script had a few error checking protocols, one being "This date is in the future. Continue/Edit?" another could be "Date is more than 100 years from present. Continue/Edit?" I would also like to see this one: "Sermon does not have a date assigned. Continue/Edit?"

Of course by "Continue/Edit" I mean that I'm given an option to continue with the compilation process or edit before compiling.

Maybe in version 4?

I agree with all of this! I would also like to see an easier way of deleteing sermon entries or removing duplicates that have accidentally been copied into the sermon file.

While I studiously avoid sermons when I'm not in church, perhaps I might make a suggestion for the better operation of this.  When compiling the sermons perhaps it should check several items:

    1. Date
    2. Passage
    3. Title -- right down to "Part 1" or "Part 2"
    4. Preacher (I can forsee the possibility of two delivering the same titled sermon on the same passage)

If there is a difference in one or more of these then it may be added.  If all are the same, don't add it.
