Do a search
In the search results, click and drag on a hit (the highlighted part of the text) and you can open that new tab anywhere (between existing tabs, in a different tile, etc.) by dropping the mouse cursor wherever you like. And you see the blue shading show up while you're dragging.
That doesn't work with the heading of a search hit (to open at the beginning of the article where the search text was found). Click and drag and the mouse cursor stays a hand; nothing happens when you release the mouse.
These two should behave the same way. It shouldn't matter whether you clicked on the heading or the selected part of the search hit.
