Using Voice Over in Logos 4 for MAC
It would be a blessing if Logos 4 for Mac; would allow all text to be readable by the Mac text to speech; Voice Over program. I am visually limited and it has already been noted that the font size adjustments for Mac are limited.
The Mac Voice Over, easily reads webpages , e-mails and most text. But the Voice Over interaction with Logos for Mac is limited in most applications. For example, if I select the read aloud function from a Bible reading drop-down menu, the Voice Over will start reading at an abnormally slow rate and there is no adjustment for the speech speed. The Logos for Mac does not interact with the Voice Over properly; the Logos for PC allows speaking rate adjustments.
The Logos format allows Voice Over to read most drop-down menus that are highlighted in blue, also most tabs or headings are also readable. I have noticed in the older version of Libronix DLS 3 ; that the passage guide and exegetical guide pages allowed the Mac Voice Over to completely read all text on the page. But the Logos for Mac does not allow Voice Over to read the text on most pages; except the unusual occurrence, when using the search page in the analysis layout. Voice Over; will not read text in the grid, verse, aligned layouts of search. From the few stated examples it would seem possible for all text to be made readable by the Voice Over in the Logos for Mac. Also having the home page readable; just as your website is already readable by Voice Over.
I am sure you have many requests for improvements to Logos for Mac and I hope you will consider the special needs of visually limited Logos for Mac users. Thank you for your continued efforts to improve and perfect Logos for Mac!
