Works of Dr William (Bill) Gothard IBLP, ATI, IBYC
First let me say I doubt this will see the light of day. But it never hurts to ask. I'd like to gauge public support for getting the published works of Bill Gothard, founder of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (Known in the 1970s as Institute in Basic Youth Conflicts.)
Dr Gothard has written many books and I would welcome all of them. But my greatest interest is his organization's home education materials known as the Advanced Training Institute. The curriculum is based on the Sermon on the Mount. My wife & I used the material for 5 years to homeschool our growing family and were blessed greatly by it. (You may be familiar with another family who uses this program; "The Duggars - 19 children and counting."
The 54 "Wisdom Books" (monthly unit studies) would lend themselves well to the Logos software. We presently have a Moody Bible Institute program in Logos called Foundation of Biblical Ministry (AM Bible Courseware) http://www.logos.com/products/details/2191 in Logos. The ATI program could use Logos 4 sync capabilities to confirm only currently enrolled families have access to study materials. Similar enrollment is used by the AM Moody resource.
Likewise, video based IBLP seminars (Financial Freedom, Ultimate Marriage, Basic & Advanced life principles) could be adapted to Logos like other DVD series have been:
“The Good Steward” http://www.logos.com/products/details/2957
"Apologetics: Defending the Faith" http://www.logos.com/products/details/2840
Pure Life Collection (12 Vols.) http://www.logos.com/products/details/3585
Then using Logos print features the place mats that accompany the Men's Manuals would be easily produced for morning devotions at the table. The Greek flash cards could be included when Logos adds a flash card feature. [;)] The required word studies could be accomplished easily with any Logos base package. And the Greek learning resources in Logos would be a perfect compliment to the ATI program.
Like I say, I doubt this will happen but it never hurts to dream. Digital study materials could lower costs and broaden access to more people. What do you think?
