potential buyer needs some advice

I've never owned Logos before, but now that I'm out of seminary I'm considering it. I downloaded the free iPad app and love it, and see how it might be worth it to spend a few bucks to buy a base package. But, here's my question: once you buy a base package, what is the cost like to upgrade to the next package up? For instance, the retail price of the green "Bible Study" base package is $264.95, and the price of the Leader's edition is $324.95 (not including the 20% discounts currently being offered). If I buy the Bible Study package, and later want to upgrade to Leader's edition, do I pay the difference of $60, or something closer to the $325?
Thanks,
Chris

You would pay something much closer to the $60...I believe. I doubt it would be exactly the difference, but $60 would be the closer call.

As a seminary grad I'd encourage you to look at the Scholar's package as your entry point. I don't think what you'd get in the lesser versions will let you fully experience the help Logos can give you. It will cost more, but right now is probably the least expensive time to get in.

Also, I would call them on Monday and ask for a gracious extension of their Academic pricing.

hmm - I should've waited a few minutes to read your post I guess! I went ahead and bought the Leader's Edition - I couldn't justify the cost for anything higher than that, but was happy to see the incremental upgrade price was the cost differential ... so, perhaps I'll upgrade next year when I have more money in my account reimbursable. Thanks all for your help!

No problem. I would still give them a call and tell them your situation. They may say no, but they may also give you a couple bucks back, or some credit towards a resource, who knows :-) Either way, welcome to the World of Logos!

The ability to upgrade base pkgs is one of the nice features of Logos.
I started 2 yrs ago with the Bible Study pkg. Since then, I've upgraded to Scholar's Gold and then to Platinum.
