Indexing recommenced after successful index

Four days ago I downloaded all of beta 5 updates and all resource file updates. I finally had a successful conclusion to indexing L4.  In starting L4 today (well after computer start), the icon appeared in the system tray and began to re-index L4.  

Note: 1) I have downloads set to manual 2) No downloads were apparent in "Program Settings" 3) No L4 icon has appeared when computer first starts for the four days (which is usually the case when indexing is needed).

Specs: Laptop Toshiba P30; P4 3.6 ghz; 2gb RAM; 128mb video card; running XP SP3, IE8.

Same thing happened to me and I'm in much the same situation as you.

I didn't download the very last resource update, but I'm on Beta 5. I downloaded the first resource update. Everything was indexed. My setting for automatic downloads in NO.

Yet, it all started re-indexing again today.

Very, very annoying.
