Warnings: Indexing with 4.2 Beta1

On a library rebuild there were a lot of errors for LLS:29.1.24, Believer's Bible Commentary:-

Warn LogosResourceIndexer Can't load article 'Ez' referenced by 'link.pos=Ez|res=LLS:29.1.24'; ignoring.

some for LLS:29.1.1, Bible Knowledge Commentary:-

Warn LogosResourceIndexer Can't load article '0216:BKC0076' referenced by 'link.pos=0216:BKC0076|res=LLS:29.1.1'; ignoring.

for LLS:LOGOSLXX, Septuagint with Logos morphology

Warn LogosResourceIndexer No lemma found for 'ÎšÎ±á½¶'

for LLS:14.0.1, New bible Dictionary

Warn LogosResourceIndexer Can't load article 'Terah' referenced by 'popup.pos=Terah|res=LLS:14.0.1|type=jump'; ignoring.

for LLS:6.60.17, Nicene & Post-nicene Fathers, 2nd Series, Vol 3

Warn LogosResourceIndexer Can't load article 's3.v2.a2.w2.b1.ch2' referenced by 'link.pos=s3.v2.a2.w2.b1.ch2|res=LLS:6.60.17'; ignoring.

I didn't mean that the warnings are unique to 4.2 though, as I get the same with 4.0d indexer. These appear to be resource related and the number of no lemmas found is reduced to 206 compared to 474 for 4.0d - LogosLXX being the worst 'offender'.

If you want a consolidated index (ie you get Basic Search results in "New Resources" section) I would recommend Merge Library Index as it is faster than Rebuild Library Index. On my Desktop i7 the rebuild of 955 resources took 50 minutes; Merge will take about 35 minutes. Rebuild removes your current index so you cannot search whilst it is underway. Merge preserves your current index so that you can search whilst indexing. A rebuild is a serious affair but I would do it after 5 merges.

Note that the Bible index is maintained as a consolidated index by the Logos4 Indexer so I use Rebuild Library Index to be specific and save time.

I've done 3 or 4 merge index already. What is the advantage in performing a rebuild index after 5 merges?

I do it as a safeguard because Merge does not re-index your individual books (and I've noticed that the Indexer tracks how many merges you've performed!).

The 4.1 SR-3 and 4.2 Indexer perform some additional (more complete) indexing on some resources, so a rebuild at this time will be beneficial!
