Can't Go Back

I use the Recent Post view ordered by last comment … seems closest to the old forum.

But it has a failing … at least on Safari/iOS/iphone (latest), selecting next page (of posts) doesn't activate the browser go-back button. Apparently it's one big page.

So to go back to an earlier viewed post, restarting is my solution (so far). When you think the new forum might work, nope.

It's the same on my Windows laptop, but as a crude work-around, there are left and right caret icons to the right of the "next page" icon. They allow me to navigate forward and back a page at a time. It would help considerably if the carets were placed at both the top and bottom of the window instead of just the bottom. And of course the best option would be to activate the browsers back and forward buttons to go a page at a time.

Side note: To the right of the carets, there's also a right arrow and a vertical bar. Selecting that icon lets me choose a specific page number to go to. Again, it would be nice if that appeared at both the top and bottom of the page instead of just the bottom.

Do they show up on your Apple devices?

On the iphone-vertical, they don't show. But horizontal, they do. But then, can't see much of posts!

And as you say, scroll to the bottom. I'm surprised the app was 'user tested'.

Happy if it helped. It hasn't been a very "intuitive" transition for me. It would have helped if there was a video (or even a chart) showing the old navigation options/features and then the new options/features to accomplish the same or similar thing on the new forums. Maybe there is something somewhere. If so, I missed it.

So, I'm trying to recreate the issue. When you are looking at the list of posts and select "Next Page" on Safari on iOS, you can't hit "back" on Safari? I ask because when I do that, the back button on Safari works fine on my phone.

However, it does not just bring it back one page. If I'm multiple pages in, it brings me back to page 1 of the posts (I hope that makes sense).

Not for me … the backarrow on Safari is grey'd out. Maybe it's thread dependent. Latest ios 18.1.1.

In all fairness for design-bugs, the Accordance site won't show its product category menu … same exact issue (for years).

Ok .. maybe we're making some progress. There's now an operable Safari back-arrow. Just not a forward arrow (eternally grey). I can see this is pretty complicated (smiling).
