I get around great on my desktop, but when I try to find the pronounce button on my Android phone, I can find it about 1 out of 100 tries. What am I doing wrong?
thank you
Hey Will,
Android is indeed quite different from desktop navigation and takes some getting used to. For me, confusion concerning the pronunciation tool centered around whether I was doing a word study on the English word or on the Greek/Hebrew word. The pronounce button is located at the top of the "Definition" category within the Bible Word Study of a Greek or Hebrew word.
To do a word study on an English word in Android, long tap a word. Then click "Word Study" from the menu. This will typically not present an option to pronounce the word.
To do a word study on a Greek or Hebrew word, long tap a word from a Bible with a reverse interlinear. Then click "Word Info". From there, tap on the 3-dot menu to the right of "Word Info" and select "Open Bible Word Study". This will typically present an option to pronounce the word at the top of the "Definition" category.
Yes , that worked!!
Thank you
I was trying to pronounce a Hebrew word.
To pronounce a Hebrew or Greek work…. turn on Interlinear… find the word you want then "Right click" the word then in the right panel, click "Pronounce"…. works like a charm.
Edit: Forgot to mention this…. but on the desk top in Windows… I can right click the "English" of the word, then click on "Pronounce" and get the same thing as using the Interlinear. I use the "first" method mostly for me… because then I can dig into the Greek or Hebrew if I so choose.
True for desktop / laptop - but Will is asking how to do it on Android.
oops. Sorry about that.
Hi folks … I'm unclear what is meant in the BDAG entry for πρόθεσις, εως, ἡ (προτίθημι) as shown below. I’m studying 2 Tim 1:9, which is classified under definition 2b …that which is planned in advance, plan, purpose, resolve, will | of divine purpose This seems to fit the meaning in 2 Tim 1:9, but it appears prefixed…
Trying to do more than simple and basic Bible searches is rather difficult in Logos. There are too many complex parameters to learn to easily do proximity searches and more. Why isn't there an intuitive "front end" built into Logos to do proximity (and other Bible and Library/Book) searches. It should be easy and…
In the previous LOGOS version there was an icon that provided the Greek or Hebrew for any passage I was reading. I can't find this function in the newest layout. Can someone please direct me to it? Thanks, Brett (Canberra, Australia)
I have tried to create a reading plan using the Heidelberg, but unfortunately, I stink at it, to put it mildly. If you have one, would you be willing to share it? 😉
I just noticed the info panel "License management is now available in Admin Portal." Since license management in Faithlife groups is a bit cumbersome, I found that notice very intriguing. However, when I go to the admin panel, it says that I need Logos for church, or Logos for education to access it. Now my questions: Do I…
