Why 2 panes in ESV Study Bible?
The ESV Study Bible has two panes in the same window. The content is similar but not the same. Why is that, or what is the second pane?

In your screenshot you have two study Bibles open in the same panel - the ESV Study Bible and the CSB one. And they are each displaying their introductory material on Genesis.
To just show one book in the panel, switch to the View tab and turn off the Multiple Book View

Now you know! Multi view or parallel view is helpful to compare versions and read them at the same time without having to click on different tabs to see them 👍
