    Jason

You have 30 posts per page, but only 10 from each of the 3 categories. I am not interested in the proclaim category and so there are actually only 20 relevant on each page. I am suggesting you allow more. I do not remember how many were on a page in the old forum. You had the categories at the top for anyone to click on and go a page that brought up many posts from that category. If you have the 3 categories that show up on the page now at the top and recent posts (regardless of category) underneath, that may be better? If someone wants a full listing of 40-50 posts (per page) of one of the 3 categories, they would click on one of the 3 links at the top of the page for that category. What do you think of an idea like this?

As Jason said, they're currently not in favor of allowing deletions. Lots of us are hoping they'll change their minds about that. There was a discussion in another thread centered on it.

TBH I'm not a fan. I know you worked hard on it and people love it so I just chalk up to my personal preferences. The old forum had categories where I could just look at one section whereas this feels like everything plopped in one part. It is confusing to me and is why I pretty much stopped using it.

You have 30 posts per page, but only 10 from each of the 3 categories.

The way you describe the view you're seeing makes me think you are looking at the homepage alone. Have you tried clicking "View All" under the categories that you're interested in seeing more of, or visiting the forums page found in the main menu at the top? I hope that helps, @Mark.

@Mattillo, what subcategories were helpful to you when surveying the old forums?

I mostly dabbled in the General forums and Desktop forums. I really liked the files subforum as well. From what I can tell with the new system, I go to the English forums and then select Files from Categories?

I mostly dabbled in the General forums and Desktop forums.

Upon reviewing the "General" forum prior to migration, we found that it was very much a mixture of posts about resources, the company, nearly every platform (mobile, desktop, etc.), and much more. There was no rhyme or reason, and the siloed subcategories were nowhere near as divided as members had thought them to be. The "Desktop" subcategory would be appropriate if members made the conscious effort to navigate and post to the siloed subcategory. As a result, conversations and engagement was divided, and "General" was quite general indeed.

You and other users can equate Logos and Verbum > English Forum to "General" as it is where new users will naturally navigate to post anything that is related to Logos and Verbum applications. And you are right in that Tags or even the Search can help community members filter down what exactly they are looking for in a category.

Our goal was the remove walls and bring our community together in discussion, focused on our products or resources at the highest level.

    I hope that's helpful context.

If you are interested in particular filtered views, and would like to revisit those views often, consider bookmarking a search or filter in your browser.

Here's an example with Tag:Files sorted by Newest.

It's great to hear that you're coming to enjoy the new site, @Jonathan Bradley.

The only thing that I'm still figuring out (and this isn't a complaint, just figuring out how I like it best) are the notifications.

I wanted to mention that we do have an open support ticket concerning notifications as well as "anchor links" and that ticket should be resolved soon. From what I can tell, clicking notifications from within the community as well as from email notifications (and sometimes elsewhere) may result in sending individuals to the wrong page or the wrong place in a thread of comments. If that's what you mean, I hope that we see that resolved before too long!

Yes, that helps. I wish to see quick links, though. I see that on the home page but not on the Forums page.

    Hello Jason,

The search seems to be not bad. For example I've searched a "keyword" and the "author" and it found it immediately.

BUT, then the link goes random in the thread, NOT to the correct place.

I started reading the "desktop" tag, but soon realised that not all desktop posts are included as many OPs do not select it.
Also can you add "features" to the filters, then if I can select desktop app, resources and features I think I would be happy.

At present I have to do a lot of clicking and filtering to read what I'm interested in.

I started reading the "desktop" tag, but soon realised that not all desktop posts are included as many OPs do not select it.

We are working on improvements to the community tagging and categorization, as not all members are adding tags appropriately.

Also can you add "features" to the filters, then if I can select desktop app, resources and features I think I would be happy.

There are a few missing tags, "Features" being one of them. We have an update releasing soon that should resolve this.

    Thank you, @Roger Pitot.
