Am I wrong or the translation?
I read In Romans 7:21"I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good"".

You might try using the Text Comparison tool to view this verse in multiple translations. I find this pretty handy. (try clicking this link to open the Text Comparison)
The verse looks correct. The NAS is a very literal translation (close to word for word translation from the original manuscripts). You really need to read this verse in context with the surrounding verses to grasp Paul's meaning here. You might also look in one or more of your commentaries on this verse for how to understand its meaning.

NASB is good but not necessarily always literal. I have found passages where the original is a verb and it is translated as a noun.

I don't have problem what it means,my problem is what the NASB here says ,it seems to me some what like contradicting,or may be i haven't understood it grammatically.

Hi I see I should have to read careful with the preceding verse.Well , apart from this I am studying from verse 14-25 ,I would be glad if some one could send me any help me how to study inductively.I have understood the text,but I need to arrange it technically,that might be a great help.

The passage has had it's intended affect on you. Paul intended that it should portray confusion. He was struggling with temptation, and wanted us all to know that it is an ongoing process.
Heb 2:17-18
For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
Heb 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet was without sin.
James 1:13-15When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death .......God Bless0 -
One of the core principles behind inductive study is to examine the scriptural context. With Rom 7 in particular, a good reading of both Rom 6 & 8 will help you both understand why he's talking about the law of God and our flesh. v25 sums it up nicely:
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
(my emphasis added)Chapter 8 starts with the explanation:
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Don't just stop there... keep going and it will provide the context needed to properly complete the line of thinking.
Another related verse that I've always found helpful here is 2 Cor 4:16-18:
“Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16–18 NAS95)

I recommend you work through this passage slowly following Paul's argument to see if he is speaking of life prior to conversion or the divided man after conversion.
You may also find it helpful to run a passage guide on Romans 7:21. As you can see from my passage guide you can access all your commentaries on the topic. Also, you can add custom categories and search particular collections for references to the verse. For example (and it is very well done), John Piper has a 6 part series on this section entitled "Who Is This Divided Man". I find that the passage guide is a quick and easy way to search for references to a particular verse. I recommend you look at the Piper resources I referenced and run through the commentaries in your collection as well. If you own journals or any other resources besides commentaries you want to be able to search within the passage guide, let us know if you need help setting up a custom passage guide to search those as well.
