BUG: Reference box doesn't move to reference

Hi there

I am running the current beta and have a problem with the reference box. If you type a reference into the reference box such as "Eph 2" and then press enter, it will not move to the correct location, unless the default options list is loaded. This sometimes takes a second or two and thus slows things down and is confusing to the user.

I see what you mean, but the options seem to load rather quickly for me. In fact, I had some difficulty hitting Enter quickly enough to see the problem; that could be an old age problem 😎

Thanks Jack, I'm quite use to using the keyboard and so when I enter something I press enter immediately. Similarly, when I paste a reference from somewhere else, I press enter immediately. It is quite annoying and to me feels like quite a wait, although I accept it is probably from 500-1000ms. So its not slow, but when you are used to UI and close to instant response, it seems to take a while!

I spoke too soon. This afternoon I experienced the slow population of the options. I recognized the problem rather quickly because of your report.

Thanks Bradley, I'm pretty sure that this minor irritation has existed for quite a while longer than the current cycle. However I've not paid enough attention to it, to be completely sure! I'll give it a good test when a fix is released.

Still present in Beta 2. The only time I have experienced this in with BHS in Job. Don't know if that is useful to Logos or not, but thought I would share my experience. Everything else seems to work promptly.

The fix for this problem missed the cutoff for Beta 2, but is in the queue for the next Beta. You should see a release note for it when it ships.
