39.0 Beta 2 (39.0.384)
To change Logos to the beta channel, enter the command Set update channel to beta in the Command Box. (Please see beta warnings and risks.)
To immediately update Logos (if it is already set to beta channel), enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

ref.ly links in external Windows applications will open directly in Logos without opening the browser.
No they don't. The ref.ly-link in my MS-Word document when Ctrl-clicked will still open the web app in the Chrome browser on Win11 before openig in Logos (I believe I'm testing the most common test case here).

The OS takes a few minutes after the install/upgrade completes to recognize the new refly link handler. Could you try again and let us know whether the misbehavior is persistent?
Thanks,

I can confirm that ref.ly links do not open directly in Logos from Microsoft Word in Office 365 on my Windows 11 PC. Except for Office 365, every application I have tried has opened refly links directly in Logos.

I assume you mean the install/upgrade of Logos to v39 Beta 2, right? This has been many hours ago. I even restarted my PC. Does Windows 11 need to be the very latest 24H2 update for this to work? (I have been offered this update today, not yet installed, it seems to be optional and Windows Update considers the laptop to be up-to-date with no further updates found even though 24H2 is not yet installed).

Thanks for this.
Reports in this thread have helped us to discover that Microsoft Word handles links differently from most apps. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere, but we're working on finding a solution.

You probably already know this, but MS Word on Mac correctly opens the resource in Logos.

More details and a workaround for ref.ly links in Office apps on Windows in the new thread here.
