Why Such a Reluctance to Navigate?

See below (Safari). I was scanning down posts, and at the bottom, clik'd to the next 50. I arrive on 50-100 and decide I missed the desired post … go back.

No … no, you don't. The app can't use the browser go-back. You must scroll down 50 posts, and only then.

I just don't understand .. navigation is strange … sometimes here … sometimes there. Why is consistency so bad?
