Bible Word Study > in range results in too many hits in Lemmas in Passage

In the Bible Word Study, I set a range of Galatians 5.22. But in Lemmas in Passage, I get results that go beyond the range of Gal 5.22. (see image)
Am I misunderstanding what the range is supposed to do in the BWS?

    If you hover the title line of the section, the ? will provide an explanation, and clicking will take you to Help Center (if you have a subscription). Basically, it provides a study of the lemma from its use in other passages.
