Not having an iphone on which to preview it, but being a john piper fan, I investigated and found I could download the PDF free! Hope this doesn't go against forum guidelines.
There are a number of resources offered by Logos that can be found elsewhere for free. However, the beauty of getting it from Logos is that it's all available and linked from within the one program. For that I'm happy to pay.
I'm not sure how it fits into the guidelines but I think it increases sales in the end. I bought a collection of Tozer books for another program because it was dirt cheap. No offense intended to the other program, but it just doesn't compare to Logos. I ended up buying a couple of the books individually in Logos and will probably by more just because its that much better for reading and annotating.
I have bought Greek and Hebrew testaments and EBC in Logos, tho I already had them in other programmes. I need Bibles and commentaries in the same programme, and Logos beats the lot for that. But books that I want to read, including Piper, I prefer to print out.

And that is precisely why I love Logos - I can read my books anywhere on my iPhone because I always have my iPhone with me. Paper is less likely to be about my person. For those quick few minutes when I fancy a quick read of one book or another, I can get out my iPhone and read. That is not going to happen with paper because of (a)the medium and (b)the amount of "paper" I'd have to carry to make sure I had the choice available. ;-)
I don't have an iphone, and it looks as if an ipad is not much more expensive, so I'm thinking of getting one. I'm also thinking of getting a Kindle. But this will have to wait till I go to England, probably Feb for Morris Proctor's seminar in London. On ipad or kindle I can, I think, read anything I can print. Till then, I'm grateful to be able to print it, in or out of Logos.
Even though I can get all of Piper's sermons free online and own all of his books (and can download pretty much all of the pdfs free) I have still purchased every one in Logos. Logos is my preferred method of reading due to markup, notetaking, ability to hover over verses and see the verse, and searchability.
