Logos Occasionally Crashes: ProtonVPN

Logos occasionally crashes on my devices (Windows 11 or macOS Sequoia) if I launch it with ProtonVPN active, or shortly after I disconnect from ProtonVPN. When I'm using ProtonVPN, I'm using US Secure Core through Switzerland. I'm attaching some sample crash logs from my Mac.

Waiting a few minutes and relaunching Logos or even rebooting the machine and launching Logos generally resolves the issue (as long as ProtonVPN isn't active).

My guess is that ProtonVPN is blocking Logos from connecting to the Logos servers which triggers the crash.

I work for a Proton reseller, so if I need to holler at Proton about anything, let me know.

This is best handled with Customer Support, who can monitor your computer and run some diagnostics.

I just did a quick test of connecting to a Switzerland server with a different VPN and could not replicate the issue. I can try a few more times and leave the connection active for a longer period - though I use VPN frequently and haven't run into Logos crashing while using the VPN connection.

If it happens again, I'll reach out to Support. I reached out to Proton recently on another matter and did some adjustments to Proton with their support, so maybe it'll also correct this.

Proton user here as well. No issues at all with VPN, secure core, or the open option from proton.

    Once i connected from Finland!

Found out it's a known issue that occasionally happens (and it doesn't have anything to do with Proton, it was just my luck that it only happened for me when I had Proton going) :-) I believe it'll be addressed in the next update.

I have found Logos syncing to not like VPN, sometimes there is a syncing error. But I've never had an issue with Logos crashing when using VPN.

My crash happened even after the update. Support had me rename a file. Will let you know if this works, and if so, which one to rename.

We "might" have a resolution on this one. Called into Support. There was a permissions issue on one of my folders. We've repaired the permissions on the folder, so we'll see if that does the trick. If it does, I'll report back what we did so it'll be documented.

It was working, then it resurfaced again after a macOS update. My guess is macOS updates are causing some permissions change/issue on my Macs. I have another email into tech support and will update here once we have a resolution.
