uservoice update request

While I didn't go through it all in detail, I'd like to see the following actions on uservoice:

These should be marked done or in progress:

Make it so we can't accidentally edit collections (in beta)
Bible Speed search
Make it possible to export notes into Word
Two page reading mode

This one may be done:

Implement regular update of Logos Controlled Vocabulary

This one is half done

Add dated resources to lectionaries and lectionaries to passage guides

And the following should be combined, if possible, to show the actual interest:

Combine User generated data: timelines and Timeline Add-on
Combine Handout Application and Improve handouts

It would be nice if we could sort uservoice by category: I'd be happy with a simple base Logos 4 / Mobile extensions / Resources ... or set up 3 separate uservoice accounts. The main reason for me is that it was difficult to find duplicate entries with such a broad mix of requests.

And yes, everyone (and I mean YOU) please go the logos.uservoice.com and use your votes for the items that matter most to you. Some of the biggest vote getters are done, the next layer is under consideration / planned /started ... So it's time to show Logos what are next layer of preferences is.

PS I would also be nice when I indent blocks on the forums for them to display that way. I HATE options that don't work.

I can't speak for the anonymous user who created that entry on UserVoice, but it does say edit, not delete. There was some talk early on about how it was too easy to overwrite an existing collection when you thought you were creating a new one, because there's no concept of "Save" after you leave a collection you've been editing. We've all gotten used to the way this works now, so we know to click "New" before setting up our new collection. But newbie users probably still make the same mistake we used to make in the beginning, where we open Tools > Collections, and start typing away a new collection name and new rule, thinking "OK, now I'll click save and save this...uh oh, where's the save button? Oops! I just wiped out that other collection!" I haven't done this in months so I've almost forgotten what it used to be like. But I'm guessing that was at least partly what was in mind for this UserVoice item, not just the problem of it being too easy to delete collections by clicking the X on the listbox (which has now been fixed as of 4.2 Beta 2).
