Fonts for people with reading and focus disabilities.
I have been catching up with the news from late 2024 where a couple of publishers teamed up with the company 2kdenmark which has made a font called Grace Typeface. The goal of the font was to design something that would make reading and retaining the Bible easier for people with dyslexia. I love the idea so much I bought a case of the CSB Grace Kids Bibles for our children and student ministries to have on hand just in case. I was wondering if Logos would maybe look at partnering with 2KDenmark to integrate this font as an option in their software as well to help people who struggle with dyslexia. As far as I can see, the font is not available as a download that we could just install on our end, but this would be a great accessibility add for Logos for sure.
This idea also reminded me of the app called Bionic Reader, which sets a larger font weight at the beginning of words, which causes your eyes to move more quickly across the page. There is a free and open-source font called Fast Font that does a similar thing using font ligatures. If anyone is interested in that, you can google fast font GitHub, and it'll be the first entry. That font has been claimed to help people who have ADHD stay focused on reading but doesn't have the tested clinical trials that Grace font from 2kDenmark has in their research for dyslexia. I do know that fast font does help me, as a slower reader, actually read at a faster pace. For fast font, you can just download and install the font on your system and then change the default font setting in your Logos software.

Hi there, I just found this font as well. I was able to download it and add it to Logos already. This is the site I downloaded it from:

Just remember to look for it under WZQGXE (not just Grace Dyslexic). I hope this helps!

Thanks, Melissa, yeah, that looks like someone actually got a hold of the real Grace Font and uploaded it to a few sites. In the description, it even says the font is trademarked by 2kdenmark. So that IS the Grace font, just dubious origin.0

Logos has open dyslexic font on mobile apps. On desktop you an choose what you like. I'd love them to bundle this Grace font. It would be a nice feature.

I'd also love to see a lot more flexibility over the colours of the app, text and background. For example in dark mode, for me the contrast is too high.
