iPad app: bugs and suggestions
I'm on a 13" m4 iPad Pro, running the latest builds of iOS and Logos.
- Note in the top right corner, even though there's plenty of screen space, the "word info" cuts off and does not display ALL the word info. (I can drag the horizontal divider all the way down, and it makes no difference.)
2) I have multiple Layouts. Frequently when opening a layout, you'll get a screen with an open book and even if linked to another book on a different screen it's just blank. It doesn't open to the last place, nor the linked place, AND there's no indication of what the book is or how to navigate it. Just blank. If you tap on it, it looks like this (screenshot). This is a bug. You should always at least know what the book is, and linked books should STAY linked, open, and visible. To find out, you have to tap the screen, then the three-dot menu, then "Book Info"
3) There's lots of room at the top of the screen. I wish things like "close this title" were simply an X on the bar instead of under the menu; it adds clicks and wastes functional space.
4) I REALLY want to be able to control English, Greek, and Hebrew font sizes INDEPENDENTLY! Greek/Hebrew good readable size? English wayyy too big! English a good size? Original languages WAYY too small.
5) Similarly, why isn't some of Apple's "pinch to zoom" available as a very quick and easy way of changing the font size in a window?
6) The actual way of changing font size is troublesome. You can't click on the small a or LARGE A to change the font size one tick; you have to grab the slider and move it, and who knows if you're moving it one tick or seven, and good luck with any kind of precision adjustment.
7) I wish there were better original languages functionality, i.e. highlight active verse in lexicon, and Bible Word Study functionality offline, and jumping from original language text to the linked lexicon (per my first screenshot.) Right now, to get from a word to lexicon, it's four taps. It could/should be half that.
8) And of course… widgets. I would love to have a widget to jump into a particular layout, a particular reading plan (and layout), etc. A widget to display at random a verse from a passage list. Etc.
