Starting with the preaching tools in Logos Pro

Member Posts: 153 ✭✭

Hi Logos community, I am fairly new to the preaching tools and I will only use them on my iPad. I do not have a Desktop PC.

I have tWo basic questions regarding the sermon builder and slides.

1.) Is there a Logos media database for images and slides that I can use for a sermon in Logos?

2.) If I use an image from the Factbook (for example) for a sermon, how about the reference? What do I need to think of licensing when I use Logos content for a sermon?

Thank you and Gods blessings, Daniel

Now a third question came into my mind:

3.) Importing sermons is only possible with the Word format, correct? Can I also import a sermon on the iPad?

    Thanks.

1.) Is there a Logos media database for images and slides that I can use for a sermon in Logos?

Yes there is. But, unfortunately, the sermon builder on the iPad app doesn't have the ability to access it.

2.) If I use an image from the Factbook (for example) for a sermon, how about the reference? What do I need to think of licensing when I use Logos content for a sermon?

The official guidance from Logos regarding this is at

Site faviconPermissions & Copyright for Logos Media

3.) Importing sermons is only possible with the Word format, correct?

    Correct

Can I also import a sermon on the iPad?

No - this is only supported on desktop or the web app

Thank you Graham. Where can I access the Logos Media database?

I can’t access it through the iPad, understood. Can I download media items and import it on the iPad?

    God bless you, Daniel

Where can I access the Logos Media database?

I would recommend doing in the the web app - at app.logos.com

Media are associated with slides in sermon builder, click a slide to bring up a menu including the option to edit

Clicking that will give you some options to edit the slide and also a Find media button which gives you access to the media library. In there you can choose a piece of media that you can apply to the slide

Hi all, I have a further question. I have accidentally linked an existing notebook to a sermon. I tried the functionality and clicked on an existing one.

How can I add a dedicated and new notebook for the sermon and link it to it?

    Thank you, Daniel
