Precept markings in logos 4

Hi! I find when I mark a word in my Bible text when in Logos 4 that is takes a long time to actually put the mark on the word. Libronix 3 is much faster, so, I've given up and gone back to using Libronix 3 for my Bible study as I do Precept studies and use marking all the time. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
DJ

Hello Dorothy,
If by marking you mean using the highlights tools, then no, I cannot validate your issue. On my machine, it places the highlight style immediately.

Dorothy,
I find this too and it seems to become more and more of an issue as you add more highlighting. It is generally near instant when I start marking, but by the time I've got a couple of chapters completely marked up, it takes a few seconds for the highlight to appear. What kind of video card do you have? I found it got better (but didn't go away completely) after upgrading my video card.

Sorry to read that you too are experiencing delays in applying/changing markups in 4.
I have found that the more you highlight the longer it seems to take. Once the complete highlighting features were available in 4 I imported all of my notes and highlights from 3 and noticed that within resources where much highlighting was present, that it took longer to appear than in a resource that has only a few markings.
One of the things I like about 4 over 3 is that the highlights are saved by logos and automatically sync to my laptop from my desktop. So when you mark in one that it eventually appears in the other. I have not tried breaking the internet connection for updating to see it that speeds up highlights when moving around in a resource.
In a densely marked resource I have noticed that the highlights can take (30 seconds or so to appear)
On the upside, this does allow me more time to study the text. [Y]
But correcting my own highlight errors is what becomes the most time consuming. I assume that eventually they will make it work faster or I will one day eventually get a faster computer.

I got a new laptop, basically as fast as I coud get. i7 1.8 ghz processor and 8 gig ram. Highlighting was way faster until I got the sync going and actually brought my highlighting over from my old slow computer. It slowed the highlighting speed down noticably, though my new one is still faster than my old one.
