Sermon Editor

I just began my second draft of this weeks sermon, and as last week the Sermon Editor is unusable. If I move something the block is duplicated. If I insert something it is sometimes deleated. Whole sections are added, and when I try and move the curser via the mouse it jumps around erratically. In this state this part of the application cannot be used. I had hoped last week's update was intended to deal with this, bug upon release from beta the bug was unknown. Many of us have included this application in our workflow and will (once again) be behind in our weekly work until the Sermon Editor is fixed.

I’m no IT guy but I still don’t get how you update something and then ruin what was already working fine SMH

Even when you copy and paste not all verses get hyperlinked. Especially those followed by a semicolon (Ephesians 5:19; 1 Peter 5:3). The 1 would get hyperlinked but Peter 5:3 doesn’t.

If you were an IT guy, you would have a different question - how did the error make it through both beta and alpha testing? Or had Logos become less disciplined in its management of the code and we are seeing it in the first release?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I have a hunch concerning beta testing that a lot of these details go undiscovered because most people do most of their serious work on stable versions, precisely to avoid these types of problems.

I am having the same problem. It adds extra words and duplicates words at the end of the line I'm trying to type. It seems to happen when I change heading formats. I have to type in normal and then format.

Please, please, please fix the Sermon Editor. This should really be a top priority.

Sermon Editor has become a pain. If I have several slides…. say 1, 2, 3, 4 and use Heading4 for each of them, and have a Numbered text outline in each one such as 1, 2, 3, 4, with "little a. b. c. etc" under the numbers, later want to go back and edit say Heading 3, then it will continue with the last "little d" of Heading2.

    Yep, needs some work…

I just finished using Sermon Builder yesterday and did not have an issue with it. Unless I am in a different version of Logos. I don't have anywhere in Logos a Sermon Editor, unless I am missing something or it is the same as Sermon Builder.

I copied quotes in and it did just fine. I also hyperlinked verses and it worked fine.

I've noticed that not all people experience the same problems whenever a bug comes up. I wonder why that is, even if it's the same version.

@Dal —- maybe different operating systems? Different settings in operating systems?
